Friday Acts of Kindest

Help us make a difference and show our support to our delivery heroes in these tough times.  

One of our TK dads who works for UPS contacted us to see if we would like to participate in an amazing movement called Through a Child's Eyes. This was a project started by one of the USP families to show their support and appreciation for all the hard work that UPS is doing right now. 


I think we can do it and show our appreciation for these hard-working men and women. What do you think?

What you need to do if you would like to participate: Create a piece of artwork that shows how hard UPSers are working to help during this crisis. It could illustrate how you’re helping UPS beat the virus, or how UPSers are coronavirus superheroes or anything else along those lines.
Take a digital photo of the artwork by itself or one of your child holding the artwork. You can include the whole family in the picture. Do know that these pictures will be sent to UPS website to be posted.

Thursday Activity

Send a picture to your teacher through ClassDojo or text of you doing the activity. This assignment is due by Friday. 

What you will need: Paper plate (circle on a paper) Manipulatives (buttons, beans, legos, etc.) Post-it (with a plus sign +) Dice 

Objective: Students will be able to represent addition with objects, drawings, or mental images. 

Wednesday Activities

*This week we will be learning all about farm animals for social studies and for Language Arts we will learn the sight word and.*

Language Arts:

Directions: Use the salt dought that we created yesterday during science to make the sight word and review past sight words as well. 

Take a picture of your sight word made out of playdough and send it to your teacher on classdojo or email it by Friday. 

Objective: Students will be able to read and write the sight word and. 

Tuesday Activities

*This week we will be learning all about addition for Math as well as how to make salt play-dough.*

Math:

Materials: White computer paper, magazine, glue, black marker, and scissors. 

Directions: We will be creating an addition problem using pictures from a magazine and writing the addition sentence under it. 

Send a picture to your teacher through ClassDojo or text. This assignment is due by Friday.
