*This week we will be learning all about the number 14 Math and we will use our sight word for writing.*

Math:

Directions: Watch the two videos with your

child. 

1. Find 14 toys. 
2. Write the number 14 and place it under your toys. 

Send a picture to your teacher through ClassDojo or text. 

Objective: By the end of this unit the student should be able to represent subtractions using objects, drawings, or mental images. 

Writing: 

Directions for the activity: Watch the two videos with your child. 
Topic Sentence: "Here is the _____."

1. On a white piece of paper, draw some writing lines leaving a blank space on the top for your child to be able to draw. I recommend you color-code your lines. Blue for the top line, red for the bottom-line, and green dashes for the mid-line. 
3. Ask your child what they would like to draw about. Here is the, what? It might be easier if it's about animals as that is what we have been talking about. 
4. Write their chosen words for them somewhere else, not on the writing paper, and have your child write the whole sentence. 
5. Once they are done writing ask them to draw a picture on the blank space above the writing. 

Make sure to send a picture to your teacher when you are done. 

Objective: Students will write a simple sentence using capital letters, spacing, and punctuation marks.
