Tuesday Activities

*This week we will be learning all about subtracting to 5 for Math and in science, we will learn about the 3 states of matter.*

Math:


Directions: Watch the two videos with your
(You can print the worksheet or make your own.)
child. 


  1. Print out the worksheet or make your own.
  2. Color the worksheet and cut the monkeys out. 
  3. Glue some monkeys on the bed and some on the floor.
  4. Write a subtraction sentence under the worksheet or your drawing.

Send a picture to your teacher through ClassDojo or text. 

Objective: By the end of this unit the student should be able to represent subtractions using objects, drawings, or mental images. 

Science: 

(You can use balloons, bags, gloves, etc)
Directions for the activity: Watch the two videos with your child. 

  1. Use 3 balloons, gloves, or bags for this experiment. 
  2. Fill the first object with water. 
  3. Fill the second one with air. 
  4. Fill the third object with water and put it in the freezer. 
  5. Once the third object is frozen, ask your child which state of matter they thing each object belongs to. 

Make sure to send a picture to your teacher when you are done. 

Objective: Students will be able to use their observation skills to describe the three states of matter.
